Hit the 1/4 yesterday, ran an 11.80. Big Deal. :(

Title said it all. Here's the slips and video. Very disapointed in the results based on the 400' DA. My best guess is I didn't have enough ethanol in the tank. I've been too disappointed to even review the logs. I plan to take a look at them later tonight.

Stock turbos and stock inlets, FBO, no meth, E60 file.

Most people would be very happy with that time and trap

What type of tyres were you running???

Thanks. I'm a bit of a track rat, so it drives me crazy when I know I don't get everything out of the car. The car should have run 11.6's, but the timing corrections post shift ruined it. Lesson learned. Next time I'll add an extra 2 gallons of ethanol above what's needed. I'm running MT ET Streets, 255/50-16's.

I like the track too... Expecting 11.6 and getting 11.8 isn't that bad..

Edit: this is going to sound dumb but I actually think if you increase the wheel size without adding much weight and taller tires you may gain 1-2mph on your traps

I would have been happy in the 11.6's, so a 11.69 would have been fine. That's only 1.1 tenths. Should be doable without the corrections. If I have time to race this weekend I might get lucky. Thanks, but no more tire changing for me.

1.1/10sec could be temperature or down to how much gallons of fuel you had in the car, being a track junkie myself i dont think its something to beat youself up about. You being a junkie should know every outting at the track isnt a personal best. Ive learned over the years if you go to the track expecting a specific and exact time then you leave yourself for disappoint... Now had you say low 11's then got high 11's then i can see where you are going. Go again next week and dont beat yourself up over it

I love beechbend. I hate drag racing this DCT car. We do go to BB fairly often. I'll hit you up next time we go. What trans are you? Last night I cut a 2.3 60'.... My best with this DCT is a 2.1 and that was trying to use BuraQs method for laughing a DCT car.. My car pauses when I try that though and then takes off. So while the 60' is better I lose every race and look like I'm sleeping at the tree

Good points. Car will be running more ethanol for sure next time I run the E60 file.

No, didn't make it, but I plan to race at the Indiana event in October: http://www.wannagofast.com/frenchlick.php Ocala was just way to far of a drive for me to risk a track breakdown with the family.

Mine's an '07 auto with no tranny flash, so nothing fancy. Sucks that I can't build good boost on the line without it cutting throttle.

I believe I was leaving in 1st that day. I change it up depending on track conditions.

I hit track for first time yesterday and found out the hard way there is a LOT more going on than lining up and flooring the car on green that I anticipated and to get a good run/time like this a lot has to go right and you have to know what you're doing.

I watched V8 after V8, including a newer C7 (12.1), run 11's and 12's all day long even though they sounded like they should've been running 9's and 10's.

Much respect!

I'm just seeing this now, but I still couldn't have made it due to a boost leak. I hate to run the car when it's not 100%. Truth be told, I wouldn't have gone anyway due to the temps. I also hate to race in the heat. That 12.0 is very respectable in those conditions.

If things go as planned I'll have new turbos installed in August and I'll be ready for racing this fall. I'll hit you up in advance.

By the way, the DA was over 3,100' at 3PM on Saturday at Beech Bend.

I took the IS for the first time last week and ran a 13.3 sec 1/4 miles. Bone stock with cheap Kumho all seasons (from previous owner). I think with better tires I coud've done a 13.1 or 13.0.
