Front Plate Bracket for PDC

I know there are a couple trusted brands like US Millworks, but I gambled on an eBay version that clearly states it's compatible with PDC.

Maybe I'm not thinking hard enough (or maybe I'm overthinking it), but I can't get it on without interfering with PDC. I've tried contacting the seller who has been unresponsive (go figure).

When the plate is installed, it completely covers the PDC sensor pictured to the right of the bracket.

What am I doing wrong? O.o

Might just suck it up and buy from US Millworks...

PS - this is the one I bought: http://www.ebay.com/itm/121631263757...witem=&vxp=mtr

USMillWork works fine on my 428i with Sport Line. I did have to adjust the plate position after getting intermittent PDC trigger when in reverse. In a nutshell, push the right side of the plate more toward the bumper and it should work fine.

By right side, do you mean the passenger side?

Right side when you are facing the plate.

Wouldn't that just further obstruct the PDC sensor that's there?

I found it easier to just use a center-mount bracket like this one:

Here's are photos from the front and side:

I don't rock any plates - front or rear.

I'm just anticipating the day I get a ticket and want to be prepared to get it signed off.

good man

I have a cheapo ebay mount for the exact same reason; at some point i'll get a 'fix it' ticket for the lack of front plate, so I want to be prepared. I haven't mounted it so didn't think about the PDC issue you raised.

Originally I thought/hoped the tow hook mount from my E8x would thread into the F30. Alas, it did not.

Hey looking at the mount, it appears that you can swing the mounting bolts vertically rather than horizontally. If so, that should push the entire mount toward the passenger side about 2".

Just looked at the link...in the pic the plate is covering the same PDC sensor...LOL
