F80 Style body kit for the F30?
Anyone install the entire kit on their F30 yet, the front bumper, rear and sides....not the M-Sport but the new F80 kit?
My other F30 has the M-Sport kit that I purchased from SelmaUSA on ebay and it was a flawless kit so I just bought the F80 version from him and its at the body shop now getting painted. Hopefully by Friday will be ready so the car can go in and get everything installed. I got the front, rear, side skirts and the twin pipe tips to replace over the stock singles on each side. Just wanted to see someone else with a similar kit... |

Sweet!! Which exhaust are you going to get to fill on that rear diffuser!
I see you are in the OC. Which shop are you using to paint your parts? I am looking for one to paint my soon to arrive front spoiler.

There's actually one guy in China who did f80 flares on his black f30 335i, it looks really clean. I also posted where you can get the 3 peine flare on general discussion section

The kit I am installing came with the replacement exhaust tips so slide off the others and on go the twins on each side. For now, thats it on exhaust until I have time to consider replacing cat back.
The shop I use is Legacy Autobody in Mission Viejo, they have done all of my paint and body work and are outstanding. They did my M-Sport Kit on the other F30 and they recently painted and installed the Aero Kit front bumper on my 997 plus touched up other areas where needed. They are outstanding at blending and paint matching with very reasonable prices. If thats convenient, stop by and tell them I sent you, Phillip Kancel. My stuff is there right now. |

SelmaUSA has the front fender kit, F80 style but not wide body. I thought about getting those and then asking my body shop what they would charge to flare out the rear slightly using the same rear bumper but thats really a stretch and a lot more money than necessary. I still have to do the suspension which will be the same as what I did on the other F30. Eibach Springs with Bilstein B6 Sports and then Dinan Stage 1.
Will definitely post pics after the body kit is installed. |

Pics and information
UPDATED PICS:
The kit looks great and same fit and finish as the M-Sport kit I bought from Jason at SelmaUSA. Body shop also said it was an easy install since everything lined up like OEM. Maybe even easier than the M-Sport since the front bumper of my M-Sport kit had a lot of peices. The side skirts look great as well. The pics dont do them justice but I am impatient and didnt have time to do any better with photos. The only item to note is that the OEM 335i exhaust doesnt line up with this rear bumper. Granted its made for twins on each side but the pipes dont line up with the cutouts. Jason told me modification would be needed so I am trying to determine if I'll modify the current exhaust and install the twin tips that came with my kit or if its an M3 design and an M3 muffler and tips will fit the cutouts...If that the case, anyone take off their OEM F80 muffler and want to sell me it to me inexpensively? I know it needs to be lowered ...See pics Last edited by pkancel; 12-12-2015 at 07:29 PM.. |

nice pics! I see what you mean about the exhaust cutouts - is that just a design flaw? Have to say that I'm a bit surprised by that glitch, given the accuracy of all the other pieces..
I'm still torn about the front bumper with the foglights look - guess I'm just used to seeing the M3 without them. But it's growing on me... feel free to post more pics! I think you're the first person with the full M3 kit that I've seen... |

Its not a design flaw, it was made that way because I think they expected most would do a custom exhaust or modify their current.
So good thing you are torn about the fog lights because SelmaUSA has a version without the foglights. I just picked the one with because thats what I did with the other kit I got from them a year ago that was M-Sport on my other car. They had it with and without. They also with and without PDC. I'll get some better pics but will wait till the exhaust is done. If I do that this wend, then will snap some new ones and post right away. By the way, I almost did this but I decided not too just because I was already spending enough. Selma offers the F80 M3 style front fenders for an F30. They are steel and have the air inlet exactly like the M3. They just are not wider so they fit the standard F30 bumper kit. Quote:

Rear bumper fit perfectly but exhaust was modified. OEM has the muffler in the center with the each side of it having the bend and tips that then exit through the valance. Those dont line up with the F80 style rear bumper so my exhaust guy cut and re-angled them with the new twin tips installed so we could be sure they were centered correctly for the bumper cutouts.

That would probably cost you about $350 for the bumper + cost of painting & installing it.
