235i Fabspeed Exhaust For 228i
There has been several posts with 228i owners doing 235i conversions. MPE etc.
I'd imagine all set-ups for 235i like MPE are all the same and so if its retro-fit able. If it's valvetronic will it still work as normal after retrofit? (Sport Opening the valves) Interested in getting 235i Fabspeed system for my 228i. All comments will be helpful. |

That looks like a nice piece of coin.

Pretty ... but I'm not impressed because of the piping design:
- bends in the Fabspeed don't follow the stock exhaust well very, um, well - bends in the Fabspeed incorporate a mix of joining techniques. Mixing mandrel bends and welded seams isn't a good idea; the relative wall lengths of pipe end up being different and can easily create turbulence. It appears that the goal of this system was to shorten the piping from the downpipe back as much as possible. While straight is frequently good, it's not always good -- and the mix of joinery would steer me away from this exhaust.
