I think he's asking if it fits with a short er charge pipe. If the fmic is for an 07-08 then it needs the short cp. If it's 09 + it needs the long.

I have an 08 with an 09+ fmic and long cp and if fits fine.

I have an 08 and used an 09+ charge pipe with this intercooler with no issues as well.

IIRC, there is no 5" or 7", the ER FMIC for N54/N55 is about 6"+/-.
