How close of a match to Jet Black is 3m 1080 vinyl wrap?

I am thinking about wrapping my side view mirrors black. Is 3m 1080 gloss black a close match to BMW jet black (paint code 668). Is there another brand if vinyl wrap I should consider like Avery? I am a complete noob to vinyl wrapping.

I just did my chrome grills this past weekend with the 3M Scotchprint 1080 G12 Gloss Black and it matches my 668 code black paint nicely. Price is cheap on Amazon and if you don't like the look of it simply peel it off.

Thank you for the reply. I will go ahead and get some 3M 1080. This will be my first attempt at vinyl wrap! Wish me luck.

Good luck, it's easier with a heat gun and much easier ifyou take the mirror covers(which I assume youwant to wrap) off.
Take your time, heat it well and it will surely go perfectly smooth.

My car is jet black and I used some left over gloss black vinyl on the reflectors. I believe it was Avery, but any gloss black should match the 668 color.

Perfect. Thank you all. I will getting some vinyl wrap from ebay soon.

I have an extra set of mirror covers so hopefully it will be easier than trying to wrap it while on my car. I've seen a few videos and most recommend pre-stretching the vinyl.

So what would be a good match for matte black if the M performance parts?
