Good luck. I have a 335is/DCT. My launch control is set at 5k rpm so it's useless with 460 whp plus I don't want to break anything trying. I can flash the 135is TCU file to my car for a 3500rpm launch but haven't tried it yet. A couple weeks ago I went to the strip for the first time ever and did a best of 11.86@118.32, pretty damn good for a virgin! No water box since you can't brake boost to heat up the tires. I just rolled on the throttle at the 2nd or 3rd yellow and hoped for the best. Track hooked well as I was just on regular street tires. My 60 ft were all 2.1-2.3 so the car really went hard after that.

Thanks! Yokohama Advan Neova AD08 275/30-19. Ran them with 35/36 psi. 25-30 psi might had made a bigger difference.

Those are great tires. I remember the ADO7 was standard time on the Lotus. When I was replacing my Michelin PSS I wanted to get them but they were pricey. Basically, I could have bought 6 new Michelin PPS for the money. I opted for Hankook RS-3 and been happy with them.
Again, congrats on the awesome numbers at the track! |

I got lucky. Found them in the for sale section. Brand new 235/35-19s and 275/30-19s for $800.

Yup, really only 2 ways to launch a DCT Car. 1st is just mash the gas when the last yellow light lights up. 2nd is the car's stock LC. Our 335is LC is 5k RPMs as stated above. I tried it once and blew the tires off on street tires. I have MT ET streets for the track now. BuraQ has given me a couple pointers on how to use the LC and not launch at 5k. I'm going to try it this weekend on the DR. Hopefully I don't break anything LOL.

It was 7.80@94.4. Car's pretty fast, driver mod needed, although that was the first time I've been on a drag strip. Lol

Yup, that's a nice 1/8mi time and trap. I'd be happy to break into the 7s LOL. All of my parts for FBO and meth should be here soon and I already have inlets in the garage so maybe I'll get there soon.

Shouldn't be a problem at all. I have inlets and outlets waiting to go in too, just gotta psych myself up to tackle it. Do you run E85 or is not available?

I live in the land of ethanol. Almost every gas station around has ethanol. I run e30 right now. Eventually I'll go to a fuel it stage 2 and e50ish.

Just pretty much standard bolt ons. Afe stage 2 si intake, VRSF dp's and IC, ER CP and Forge DV's, 3.5 bar TMAP, MHD custom tune by BuraQ, Stage 1 Fuel it, stock exhaust and I run E60ish. I run a step colder NGK plugs. I do run a pretty aggressive tune.
I also have a full M3/BMW Perf suspension/Powerflex rear subframe bushings and a lock down kit which may help a little on launch, who knows. Lots of other stuff but this is most of the go fast items.

Do you still have that 2011 335ix or did you get a N54 car?

Well ran 8.4@87 tonight in the 1/8mi. I tried a 5k LC launch on the DR and the Tranny certainly didn't like it LOL. Probably be a trans rebuild and Dodson clutch packs in my future. It didn't slip but was more like a bang or something. No trans malfunction code but it didn't few good for sure. lol. Ran .1 faster than last week. IATs were awful. This stock IC really sucks.
