RW Carbon Spoiler

I just recently got the RW Carbon spoiler and I just wanted to know if this is what it's suppose to look like on the inside? I just want to make sure it's not damaged and this is how it usually looks.

Just got mine yesterday and that's exactly how it looked, it kinda helps you line it up on the lip of the trunk.

Yeah that makes sense, I didn't think about it like that. Thank you.

Did you install it yet? Was it a pain in the ass doing it? I'm going to put mine on this weekend.

Putting it on was a snap if you position it without the tape and then tape off the outline with a couple pieces of blue painters tape. The pain was removing the residual tape from the stock spoiler. I didn't have any 3m removal spray so i just used WD-40 as a solvent. It probably took about 30 mins to install with 20 mins just to remove the stock tape.

Here's a pic of mine installed (ignore all the Christmas trash)

The spoiler looks great! Now I'm excited to put mine on. I bought Goo Gone and hopefully it helps get rid of the residue fast and painless. P.S. I hope those were some good gifts

Do you mind describing how you took the stock spoiler off?

You can use a fishing line or as BD_F22 described in another post, you can also use dental floss to take off the original spoiler. I've used goo gone before to get rid of the adhesive, that should do the trick.

Be sure to let the goo gone soak a bit, if you rub too much with the microfiber cloth before if has a chance to work it will take much more effort and possibly result in micro scratches. Do NOT use goof off that shit is way too harsh and can eat your paint.

Ah, thanks all. I think I'm going to plasti-dip my stock spoiler for awhile first just because a new spoiler is pretty low on my list of mods. It's good to know that I don't have to go to a dealer to get a new one installed though.

quality of RW spoiler vs M performance

for those who have the RW spoiler, how does it compare to the OEM M Performance parts carbon spoiler? (the RW is $200 cheaper than the M performance part, which is a significant savings)

Same design. I have the E82 one weave is on par with OE, and looks the same once installed just easier on the wallet
