F30 Reverse Light Bulb (Not LED)
Hi guys,
I'm looking to replace my yellow-ish reverse light in my car. I know I could go with LEDs, but there's an issue with flickering. I could code it away, but I rather keep things as stock as possible. So I am thinking about just getting some super white bulb incandescent... Has anyone else tried this? If so, which bulb did you get? Is there any specific requirements on the reverse bulb so that it doesn't throw a warning in the car? Would regular mtec/piaa bulbs work: http://www.amazon.com/PIAA-1156-Xtre...ords=PIAA+1156 http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/mtec-38...-effect-bulbs/ Thanks in advance! Nothing any different if they are anything like the Silverstar bulbs, just a regular bulb with a blue coating. I bought the Weisslicht bulbs, and it's day and night in comparison to being able to see out the back. I'm at 20% on my tint in the back, and I couldn't see anything out the back with the stock bulbs, but I could see fairly well with the Weisslicht bulbs.

Awesome thanks!
Looks like the OEM bulb wattage is 21W. Silverstar and the PIAA are 27W. Any idea whether that will be an issue? I can't imagine I gonna be using the reverse light for a long time where it will generate too much heat... |
