Pedestrian Protection System Warning

So, ive had a new warning pop up - Pedestrian Protection System Warning...

I have a CF vented bonnet/hood on since the car was new so been on 4000miles ... driving home the other night, pulled onto the drive, no probs. Get in it the next morning and the warning has appeared - 'Do not open bonnet, drive at moderate speed' - Comes on every time. Bonnet explosive have not triggered obviously..

I believe the fibre optic sensor may be at fault but odd how it seems to have appeared out of the blue...

I still drive the car fast, no problems there just wanted to know if anyone else has seen this issue?
