Are those percentages? If yes, any idea why the X6 is so low in residual value vs the other models? It has the same residual after 3 years as the 128 has after 4. And why is the M3 so low? I always thought M-models kept their value best of all BMWs. Or am I misreading the numbers?

OK, nothing like answering your own question...

I was just at the dealer. Yes, the numbers are percentages of original price. The residuals in Canada are the same as in the US. My dealer says he believes the X6 has a relatively low residual as a way for BMW to protect themselves against a drop in sales of big, heavy vehicles. For the exact opposite reason, the 1-series has high residuals as BMW believes the market will trend toward smaller, more fuel-efficient cars.

Actiually the residuals are going down, money factors up, and MSRP up by June across the board. Some new vehicles like the X6 have all the adjustments in place now.

That is true. When I ordered my X6 the sales manager told me that premium package and sport package were both going to be $100 more that listed price as well as destination charge was going to be $825 and not $775. Also, he mentioned to me that the current money factor was now .00385 which sucks. I will probably just buy now because they told me that one of the Cowboys players came in and leased the Black X6 they had in the showroom and payment came out to $1500/month
