F30 Door trim insert reupholster?

Hey guys, I went to my local reupholsterer as I want to redo the door insert as pictured below.

The only concern that she said was "If I remove that panel I'm not sure if I can get it back on as the newer cars these days have them plastic welded behind."

Question to you guys is, from the picture below, is that area easily removable and then also easy to put back on the door?

This seems to be fairly easy thing to do. Check out this video from bavsound. They have a diy to remove this trim as a part of their speaker installation.

The Bav sound video is not what he needs.

OP- good luck in your quest. Most upholstery shops don't know how to deal with modern doors, they are plastic welded by robots not designed to be disassembled.

It's not impossible but most shops don't have experience in removing and re-welding plastic welds. Keep searching.
