Watkins Glen Fuel Availability

Greetings,
I signed up for the HPDE in June at Watkins Glen, NY and I've been trying to suss the onsite fuel situation with no luck on their interwebs site.

Here on Long Island, I'm lucky to be tempted by lots of local E85 availability.
I'm seriously considering dropping in a stage two Fuel-it! can and take advantage of the ridiculously low ppg, and the performance gains it can offer.

The closest E85 station to "The Glen" seems to be over 50 miles away.
Not real keen on carting jugs of fuel up there either.

I've been trying to find out what the onsite fuel situation is for the track, but their website seems to cater mostly to spectator info. I realize most onsite track fueling comes at an additional cost, but for the weekend I'd be willing to pony up for the convenience.

Anyone familiar with the fuel availability situation there? Otherwise I'll be sticking with 93 that weekend. Thanks

Gonna be honest here, unless your car is heavily modded (both engine and chassis wise) and you are experienced driver, the difference of running E85 mix and pump gas is gonna be very minute.

Just run pump gas and save yourself the trouble of hauling your own E85 and any potential tuning issue that might pop up at the track. Power is the last thing these cars need when being tracked.

Good advice. My tracking abilities are definitely still behind the capabilities of my mostly stock car. I need to concentrate on smooth lines and not hitting the walls first!

On a side note, If I do install an E85 capable LPFP, I can still run pump gas at times by adjusting the tune, right?

Yep, stage 2 is a good upgrade for FBO cars even if you are not running e85, considering the demand on fuel system will be much greater on road course.

I love humble people. I was going to sign up for the njmp hpde in April but much rather go take a spin around a fresh Watkins glen.

Is it through the CCA?

The Glen is a real treat. And there is gas everywhere... if you look hard enough you can find ethanol free!

I have to get my car sorted to be ready for the fresh pavement!

Yes, Through the BMWCCA, Genessee Chapter.

Humble guy in a kickass car! (I mean Bimmers in general, although...)

I go to town as the Sunoco on site is crazy expensive. I'll be there in July with PCA RTR
