What's people's take on carbon fiber mirror cap replacements?
Hello all,
Ordering my carbon fiber m performance trunk spoiler, and was thinking maybe some carbon fiber mirror caps might look good. There are apparently some decent replicas for under $100. Not sure if it would look good or tacky. I have a 335i alpine white m-sport. Thanks for your thoughts! |

I think I'm in the minority but I'm just not a fan of CF accents on a BMW. Most people who get a few CF mods get a little heavy-handed and before you know it you've got a CF lip spoiler, splitters, side skirts, diffuser, bumper

This is a good point. That's why I am being very slow to get additional carbon fiber parts. I don't want to overdo it. That being said, I think my carbon fiber m performance trunk spoiler will look really nice.

The CF will stand out on your white! make sure if you end up going for it you get actual replacements and not just stick on caps b/c the stick on caps can sometimes leave a gap that won't look so great

I like my CF accents on canards, mirror caps and rear spoiler. On EBII those are really nice paint spots, but thats own taste.

im not for anything that is a different color than your car color. no CF, no black on white, no wanabe panoramic roof job etc.. its just not clean to my eyes...and its quite overdone and gives the car a 'ricer' look if u ask me.
unless it came from the factory i wouldn't do it, but if you like it then go for it. your car should make u happy. |

A little off topic but I couldn't find the regular gloss black mirror cap from the Sport line.
I don't have any CF parts on my car so just the CF caps would look out of place.

Aah, thats really a M4 trunk lid, therefore the very small mismatch at the corner edge is explained. I missed this mod into your thread, had probably overseen it
