JBSpeed Trunk Spoiler?

Has anyone bought this to put on their 235?

Any comments on quality/fit?

People have reported yellowing with the JB Speed distributed products. I am not sure who really manufactures them. There are a few threads around with additional feedback.

Good to know. Are you aware of any other non-CF spoilers? Most of the searching I've done seems to lead back to the JBSpeed stuff or some CF options.

Sorry, no. I haven't researched them. Hopefully others can chime in.

I have it but I've only had it on a few weeks... Fitment was good, finish was good. Guess I'll find out about the yellowing?

Pics?

My guess is that yellowing will only affect the carbon fibre, not the paint matched piece.

I have had it on for a good couple months and not had any issues. Mine is the white 228 in the pictures and my buddy is the red 235. Neither of us have seen any discoloration or fitment issues.

Good to hear. I may just take the risk and hope for the best. Thanks.

That looks great! Fitment appears to be spot on. Now I am going to have to get one...

Have that spoiler. Actually that exact one. That is my wife's car. PM me if you need an EB spoiler. Just needs new 3M tape. Was only on the car a short time.

What's the difference between the JB Speed painted spoiler and the ones you can get on eBay for cheaper? http://www.ebay.com/itm/251773261973...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Is there really that much of a noticable difference between the stock spoiler and this one? Anyone have any side by side pics?

Quality. You are running a risk if you go eBay, it may be as good as JB Speed or bad quality. I remember i ordered something that said Item location CA, USA...... but the darn thing took a month to get to me as it shipped from China instead, and ended up being crushed during shipment.

The one i ordered used low quality carbon fiber (almost looks like they just used plastic then put Vinyl CF) and poor shipping packaging. Luckily i got all my money back, but what a waste of time that was. (this was years ago for another car so i cannot locate link)

Do we know for a fact that JB Speed is making them here in the US and painting them onsite? I bought a similar spoiler for my 335 years ago on eBay and fit/finish were perfect.

They are not in the U.S. The package comes from China. I'm sure everything is done there. You are just paying more to make sure you're getting a good one IMO. I didn't want to risk it with the eBay, been down that road and burned.

Btw it only took like 3 days to get mine

I believe all the FRP spoilers are made in China. The one I got from JB and one another user here got from Ebay were identical (shipped in the same box) Others from Ebay I have seen pictures of the bottom of the spoiler, same markings. The aftermarket FRP spoilers are physically different than the aftermarket CF versions. Some of the aftermarket CF is very close if not identical the the MP spoiler from what I have seen.

Top-painted MP, bottom-FRP JB speed

Left-painted MP, Right-FRP JB Speed

Not sure if you've received your JBSPEED part yet but I just received my aftermarket emblems in the mail today and none of them were mad for my F22. I was so disappointed after waiting 3 weeks for them to arrive. I did receive a full refund after making sure they knew how pissed I was. Be wary of there parts.
