[SOCAL][WTT]: 228i "M Performance exhaust" & M Performance diffuser for stock
As the title states, I have the following OEM parts retrofitted to my 228i M-Sport that i'd like to swap for your stock 228i parts: -modified M235i M Performance exhaust (custom fabricated pipe to fit the 228i, and extended hangers) -M Performance tips (chrome, not the carbon fiber ones) -M235i M Performance diffuser Heres a short clip of the finished product and how it sounds (install and fabrication work was done by Platte Forme AG in El Monte, CA):https://www.instagram.com/p/2cIF-Ov_Wn/ Asking $1000 and sold as a set (I'd prefer not to part out at this time). I'll consider offers, but I'm not in a rush to sell. Local buyers only (Southern California/ San Gabriel Valley area)! Last edited by henryyxyu; 03-29-2016 at 11:33 PM.. |

If you're concerned about this exhaust being too intrusive for daily driving, I wouldn't be too worried about that. After opening the exhaust valve, I'd say that the idle is slightly louder than a stock M3's. If anything, It'll make your daily drive more enjoyable since it adds a bit of character to the car Lots of pops and burbles when gassing off and during upshifts/downshifts. |

The stock 228i doesn't have a valve in the exhaust correct? How does the valve know if you are in Sport+ like mentioned in the writeup? Seems like there would have to be some kind of electrical connection? Just trying to figure this out, i was looking at putting a 235 muffler on mine but not expecting much difference in sound.
