Interior LED Lights Upgrade
Hi everyone, i'm in the process of replacing all the interior lights. My car came equipped with LED interior lights, but i wanted to replace to blue and pure white led.
So far i replaced the license plate LED lights with pure white smd lights http://www.ebay.com/itm/311452214846...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT The fitment was excellent and the difference is very noticeable and well worth the upgrade. My car is tinted and every bit of lighting upgrade helps when reversing at night In the trunk i replaced the LED panel with 18 smd pure white panel I had to bend the pins on the panel because pin 1 and 3 was for power. The panel had a sticky back which glued to the housing For the footwell area, i removed the oem led housing completely and replaced with 24 x smd blue panels. I put some silicone glue on the edges to keep the panel in place. The difference between oem LED and upgraded one: For the under door lights i decided to keep the housing when replacing the led panel, because water may get in if i don't. I found out that the maximum size of a panel inside would be 15mm x 50mm, but i can't find a blue smd panel that would fit yet. i was thinking maybe to get T10 smd lights instead of a panel, but not sure yet if the pins are long enough to connect to the power plug. Also i couldn't find a way to replace the dome lights.I removed the front dome light but can't find a way in to replace the led lights. I couldn't remove the rear dome light. Please advise if you did this kind of upgrade before. |

Or go to ebay and type: 24 smd blue panel if you'd like to find a seller in US (faster shipping) Make sure color is blue not arctic blue. 5050 is the type of led. Last edited by constantin_md; 04-02-2016 at 05:06 AM.. |
