Smile 335d track fun

Hi guys, been a member a while but haven't posted.
Been slowly transforming my car into a bit of a wolf in sheep clothing.
Thought id share a video of me being chased by a Kumho cup E36 race car at castle combe. Who says diesels can't be used on track .

Spec of my car:
Wagner Intercooler
Turbo Dynamics hybrid turbos
3" turbo back exhaust
Custom Narco Map
3 way adjustable coilovers
polybushed adjustable lower control arms
adjustable rear camber arms
6 piston 360mm brakes
running advan AD08Rs
Last dynod at 425bhp & 815nm.
Let me know what you think!

Flappy paddle semi automatic, I must admit I rate the ZF gearbox on the track. It holds the gears and downshifts when you want on the track. Was thinking of a manual conversion at some point.

When I had it mapped, they played with the gearbox to enable it to lock sooner etc.

SWEET!!! & A grocery getter! LOL Us diesels can always rely on using the smoke screen trick if we can't outrun them LOL.

But seriously AWESOME SHOW OF STRENGTH!!!!

We are only pushing 340rwhp but just getting started!

Why thank you

Yes Narco did the gearbox when mapping the car. They are currently trying to get me to fit my Holset HE531V on the car this summer, but the fuel system can't go much further than 460bhp so there are a few hurdles to jump before then.

well, i am not sure if i would sacrifice gaining all that power of a car that smokes the same way as an old truck in a third world country. nonetheless, how do you know your oil and coolant was too hot? there are no gauges for that on the dash...or did u use the hidden menu?
can you also be more specific about the various parts and possibly photo documenting them? especially the suspension.

All diesels smoke when tuned, personal preference I guess. Id rather the smoke came out the back than clogged up the exhaust system and intake manifold. Have you ever drive a 425bhp 800+ nm 335d I would choose the performance with smoke over the non smokey stock power every time.
Gauge wise I have an AWRON performance display which logs highest temps reached but also gives live data, boost, coolant, g sensor etc.

Well now, this is interesting. Do you have more info related to this?

Loved the video. And I didn't think the smoke was very bad at all. The 1000+ whp diesel trucks around can black out the sun...

Awesome vid. Amazing that a daily driver was able to keep a fully prepped track car at bay. Smoke probably helped a bit too

Also very curious about the tranny map.
