That's probably not his advert if it's for an auto and he is selling a manual. For the auto, that markup sounds reasonable given the shortage, although some negotiation will probably get it lower.

Carsales ad is not mine, and i am not expecting to make a profit. was genuinely asking if anyone wanted my spot. will or else release to dealer on monday.

mine is ready for delivery.

Do you actually have the power to "give your slot away"

Some dealers don't let customers do that, they actually give it to the next person on the list... That's the point of having a waiting list right? Not just give it to a mate when there could possibly be 5 people on that list

yes i am sure i can allocate to anyone as its my slot and can have anyones name as the buyer. similar to when you go to an auction you can sign and buy on behalf of anyone else.

dealers have a waiting list as usually people don't transfer their slots away. i am still purchasing the car its just in someones else's name now.
