Great perspective on that video. I did my first Autocross yesterday and I just found my new crack. Mounted my GoPro on the roof and it was just too high so next time I will find a better spot.

Shout out to the folks at the Houston Chapter of the BMWCCA, great event and I appreciated the help and instruction. I should have been doing this years ago.

I prefer driver rear quarter panel (or window).

You can see your steering input, your head movements (where you are looking), and the course.

Plus you can see how close you are to the marks on the driver's side. I prefer setting up 2 identical GoPros, one on each side, so I can review and see how close I actually got to the edge of the track vs. what I think I'm actually seeing inside the car.

This one is better than the last.

Last video (and this one) are the final 2 runs of the ProSolo Finale. Was sitting in 5th with a poorly setup car (too much compression).

Dialed down the compression, reduced rebound a tad and made these runs (first 2 runs were getting tires to temp and learning the new setup).

The video above, put me into 2nd. This video, below...put me into first by 0.056 of a second.

I won the year championship for STX on that run for the 2016 ProSolo Series. I was pretty amped if you watch the video all the way to the end.

Funny the 2nd and the faster of the two video appears a lot more "effortless" and feels slower. I should show these two videos in class (if I ever get invited to teach class AGAIN) and cover up the time sheet, and ask the students which result is actually faster.

Well, faster by hundredths of a second...lol

And, you don't have to tell your potential students this, but the right side of this pad is different concrete than the left (and different grip levels)

What is that tapping sound at the beginning of the video, by the way?

The 2015 WRX 2 Stepping. If you watch the left video you'll see the car launch way ahead of me in the small camera

Stupid AWD
