Same suspension and similar set-up so I want to take a shot in the dark and say yes. Are you aligning to OEM or performance street/track specs?

I have my printout somewhere... Let me take a look later today when I'm home for when BMW did my alignment.

Is there any adjustment for caster on the M2. I know there is no camber adjustment. Just wondering about caster. If not then what gets aligned besides toe on the front?

Thanks. So if I were to install a Ground Control camber plate with prefixed settings or a TCKline camber plate with the same then there is no reason to get another alignment since caster and camber are all preset to one of 3 positions in each of them. Correct? Local shop is saying I need an alignment after install and I'm trying to understand why. I can understand with a fully adjustable camber plate but both of these only have preset settings so I don't understand the need.

@metrickid can you repost the alignment sheet?

Or if anyone else knows the factory specs post them up please.

Where are you guys getting alignment done? I installed a set of Eibach Pro Kit over the weekend and want to check its still close to OEM specs.

Called around my area and some can't find the specs in their system, some responded its a new car which they don't have in their software yet.

I called my dealer to make an appointment but its out in November 1st, are all dealers prepared to work on M cars or is it true some dealers are M certified?

Changing camber changes toe because it moves the strut - the steering rack is attached to the strut too, so it moves also; not a lot, but some so you'll still need toe reset when you put the camber plates on and each time you change camber. Now, its not hard to do yourself if so inclined with some jackstands, string, plumb bob and a tape measure; just trading time for money. You could also set the toe, change the camber and recheck it to see how much it moves... maybe not enough to bother with, or better yet, if adding negative camber also moves a touch toe-out, it would be a bonus for street/track adjustments...

Will I need spacers if I go with camber plates and set camber to -2.5 or possibly -3.0 degrees up front and -2.0 degrees in the rear?

Since this thread got bumped there is something I'd like to add:

When using a Hunter alignment system to align ALL modern BMWs there is a very commonly overlooked aspect of doing the job properly. If the shop is not/didn't measure the ride height of the car on the rack, they are doing "standard" (constructor) alignment. If you do the job right, and measure the ride heights like the machine tells you to, you'll get "adjustment spec" which is FAR more precise and is accurate based on the height the car is actually sitting at.

If the technician skips the ride height part (which nearly everyone does) you'll generally get a "worse case" scenario for the rear and the machine will default to more toe in and more negative camber in the rear. This is why so many people have tire wear issues on modern BMWs, they take them to a shop that skips that step so they get "worse case" alignment.

The best part is, you don't need to special tools to do BMW ride heights, just a measuring tape. Next alignment, ask the shop is they are measuring ride heights, if they don't know what you're talking about, may be a good idea to look elsewhere or educate them.

No one measured the ride height. I mentioned that the car was lowered but they didn't measure. They used a Hunter. Should I bring this back? I was actually disappointed that the camber on the front couldn't be adjusted (my ignorance).

Would you happen to know where the ride height info is entered?

After the work...

LEFT camber: –1°39’ (-1.65°) .......... RIGHT: –1°15’ (-1.25°)
Difference of 26’ (0.40°)

I'm moving it here since it's more appropriate w/ the topic.

The only 2 photos I've taken of the setup.
