Painting Brake Calipers

Has anyone else attempted to paint their brake calipers? I have a '16 228i in red and am considering this as a small summer project. Ideally, I'd paint them red to match the body color.

Thoughts? Tips? Suggestions?

I've seen it done by a couple guys I know with M3's and M4's. They took it to a shop though it wasn't a DIY. They came out real nice.

To Do it properly the Calibers need to be removed along with the rubber boot seals around the pistons. If you get them painted/powdercoated they will need to head the caliper to help the paint cure properly and withstand high temps.
Seals need to be removed because when the shop bakes them, it will dry out/damage the seals.

Mine are Vinyl Wrapped. Not perfect but up to about 2-3 feet away they look great. And the film is reflective, which from what I understand has higher heat resistance than standard wrap.

Looks great! Where did you find the M sticker? How long do you think it will withstand the heat for before you'd have to redo or fix? And finally, how much was this project? I am planning to just use high temp paint.

The shop I used printed the logo as well and put it on them. They charged me 75 per corner. Not sure how long they'll last but no signs of wearing as of now and Ive had them for months now.

I know the car is dirty, hush! Painted mine DSBM to match the car, I didn't want them to stand out but rather blend in while still being unique...

On my post I have the melbourne red 2er and recently painted my standard callipers red, leaving the the anti-rattle clip with the BMW logo as standard.
