Garage List
Could be. Normally when it turns creamy its because of a blend of oil and water

So I thought I had the same issue. Did you check in the resivour by looking or with a flash light. The tank, plays havoc I find with the coolant appearance, look in with a flash light shining on the coolent to,see if it looks frothy. Then take a sample out.

Post pictures. Have you overheated the engine? Quite a few of us are running a lot of boost/ power and haven't experienced head gasket failure. If your head gasket is bad, it had to be heat related.

No disrespect meant here. I thought this too once. The float thing is reservoir is white and it threw me off. I agree with other poster. Go get a cheap turkey baster from Walmart and extract some coolant from reservoir and put in clear cup. To be fair, my car wasn't running at 100C though.

Here is an idea if you really want to maje sure. You can put ultraviolet dye into oil. Home Depot has UV bulbs for $4. You could see if dye is getting over to water side.

Does oil look like root beer float?

You're absolutely correct. I was just seeing the float, and my coolant is a clear light blue. Thanks!

We still don't know why he is running at 100°C. I vote thermostat (T/S) has broke and isn't allowing enough flow from radiator. On a different thread, a member showed a pic where his T/S mechanically broke and he was running hot too.
