Why don't you time the DP change and ECU tune at same time. Step 1: buy a DP and have it shipped. Step 2: Ship ECU to tuner so that when it comes back tuned, your DP has been installed and waiting on ECU. I personally wouldn't mess with doing one before the other but I have another vehicle too. I just would want to avoid the hassle.
On your second question, I drove with stock SCR for about 6000 miles after tune and DP install. I might have gotten lucky though. I wouldn't wait that long. A portion of that 6000 miles was with urea still being injected which likely messed up my SCR that much more since it was mixed with soot. |

Just like Cuda said, its best to do both at once, however, if we are talking about a week of driving, it should not effect anything. Also, if you come down for a dyno tune vs getting a mail order tune, I always recommend to have the car with all mods on to optimize the car to its full potential. You can ask sleeper, we did around 15 pulls to knock out his tune, of course he had a lot more mods than an average 335d

As for the JBD, i've heard mix results, you can test it out and see how it reacts with the tune. I'll be free in the am tomorrow if you want to talk (10ish) |

My experience told me in 250 miles with a tune, the dpf will generate over 30psi of differential pressure at 50% throttle at 2k rpm.
As others have said, the scr seems to last about 6-8k after a tune. |
