Should I install 6x9s in the rear
Mine don't work. I asked the guy at a place called Sound on Wheels If they could fix them and they said they don't mess with BMWs. I said what if I bought new speakers could you put them in they said they wouldn't sound good. I still want my rear speakers to work so would 6x9s or whatever fits in the rear sound good and be worth it?

Been out of the game a while, huh?
Are your rear speakers blown or not getting power? Do you have HIFI, HK or base? |

Replacing rear speakers is usually a waste of time and money. Your ears face forward and having too much music coming from the rear will hurt the soundstage. Invest the money in what's in front of you (not talking about subwoofers of course).

i'm coming from driving a g35 coupe fyi. but i loved my 6x9's in the back. in my 328, i dont notice the back speakers much at all (4"), but in the g35 having 6x9's in the back made a big difference. the larger speakers in the back were big enough to fill in the sound quite a bit.
but i think the best bet (if youre willing to drill/custom install speakers) would be to fit a set of 6" components in the front |
