Test if your MULF is Faulty?

Hey guys! I'm having issues with my audio in my car and I'm assuming that the MULF might be faulty. Is there any way that you can test your MULF to see if it is the issue? Or do you absolutely have to take it into a BMW dealership and have them run diagnostics?

Thank you!
