New member, 3 Lexus F cars later I finally get it
Hey guys,
Didn't see a sticky or new member section so figured I'd throw up a quick intro. Just traded in my 15' Lexus RCF on a new F80 M3 in AY. Previous to my RCF I had a 09' and 12' ISF. I must say Lexus has come a long way since my first ISF in terms of driving dynamics, fit and finish as well as overall appeal of the brand. However with that being said, after two weeks of ownership with the M3 I must say I "get it"... Carbon fiber goodies, suspension, spacers and a "please make this car sound better" system due to be delivered over the upcoming weeks. My sincere apologies for not specifying!!! haha
adjusted* Thanks for the welcome gents; i'm looking forward to being part of an active forum with such a mod friendly vehicle. To be honest, I loved the Lexus-F cars, my second ISF in particular. The aftermarket support is just starting to come alive. And as far as "getting it" the F80 platform just seems like a better drivers, immediately I was more comfortable in the drivers seat. Welcome to M country. And also welcome to the Austin Yellow family.
One year in I still love this color and get compliments almost every time I drive it. If you also got a 6MT then... Well you're kin. Agree on the exhaust need BTW. Bone stock the sound is ok - but after coding off active sound and getting an MPE - I now just freakin love the sound of this car.

Ill take a LFA over anything BMW makes. Or just about any car under 500k.
Love those cars. Too bad Lexus does not make anything in-between. Welcome to BMW M. Pretty sure you will love your M3. |

congrats! looks like a great car you bought there.
I had an 08 ISF and I really did like that car and I agree they made some nice refinements to it over time. With that said, I do prefer the feel of BMW's.

Welcome to the M family! I just sold my 08 IS a few weeks ago. Had it for 8 years and was a great car. But isn't even on the same planet as the bimmer.
