when I did my retrofit of replacing my BT pro hu with a BT/USB pro hu I noticed 2 fakra style cables (one white and one beige) and wondered where are they coming from, are they part of option 694 CDC prep ?

I had to feed an identical cable to the white one through to the aux/usb port as part of my retrofit.

It's bank holiday at the moment so I can't ring bmw parts, I wanted to install the ipod interface in the glovebox (cus its a pain using my phone for my audio and forgetting to take it out the armrest id much rather use one of my old ipods that cant store loads of music and leave it in the glovebox) but need to find out the retrofit part numbers.

it look like usb cable , what is your vin ?

I don't know where the are coming from, could it be relating to cd changer prep?, my vin is E445970

I came across them when I was doing my retrofit Professional Head Unit replacement (for one that had bt/usb built into the head unit) which was successful.

The car came with BT but no visible USB socket anywhere, when I was in the process of doing my retrofit I did plug in the usb adapter into them to see if there was power but there wasn't.

This is under the boot floor (which I'm guessing is not being used since the retrofit)

in what part of the car you've find these cables ?

those cables were under the Radio / behind the air con unit trim, that thick cable is the air-con cable.

See the dark space under the Radio in the picture below, that's where they are:

this is 100% usb and bluetooth cable, may be other end of them under glovebox or under rear part of the centre console tunnel

Fakra cables are color coded also so you should be able to google
