2016 F80 Individual Santorini Blue / Amaro Brown

A bit overdue - I ordered the car in January and took delivery on April 1. I sold my last M3 to buy a ring and save up for the wedding. I somehow convinced my fiance to change our wedding limo and to drive my own car, and so I ordered the F80.

Long story short, I changed my order 5 times (the Individual VIP Specialist was extremely PATIENT with me, so thank you to her!). I started with a few different purples, then pulled a 180 and went with Nardo Grey, and a day after my order was submitted, I pulled yet another audible and went with Santorini. My fiance told me I may not be a purple car kind of guy, and I always wanted a blue car, so why not now. I always loved Laguna, Santorini, Le Mans, and Atlantis. 3 out of my 4 fav blues were already taken locally, so decided on Santorini.

After waiting about 3 months for delivery, I picked up the car in April. It was then detailed for about a week at Enthusiast Details then the build was put together by IMG Motorsport: IMG and Prime Performance. Most parts were provided by IMG and alex at autocouture.

After finally getting it back about a week before my wedding in May, it was certainly worth the wait (again)! A huge thanks to IMG and Prime Performance for making this all happen in the time frame I needed for my wedding.

What's funny was when I was deciding on colors, I remember coming across a few of your comments on purples. I said to myself this guy will love the purple I pick (first went with daytona, then purple silk, then mora metallic) then I ended up changing it up to blue but yet you still commented first

Too funny man, haha. All those purples you listed look awesome! One of my favorite things about my E36 is the fact that it is Techno Violet. It's not an overly loud color most of the time, yet it gets compliments left and right.

Regardless though, you just cannot go wrong with BMW's blue colors. There are so many good ones, and it would definitely be difficult for me to pick my favorite.

I'm debating whether Amaro would work with Austin Yellow though. I absolutely love the way it looks, especially in your pics.

I'm bookmarking this thread. That's the color combo I'm leaning toward with my F83 build, but I haven't seen many Santorini, and none in person. San Marino is my other option, but this combo is amazing.
