Yas Just Sayin Hi With A Few Pictures Of My M4

I've just sold my TT RS and an bought my M4, I did a lot of pondering, the TT RS is by far one of the best cars I've ever owned and that's in the company of 911s, M3 CSL, Exige, GTR and some very fast Evos. I would actually go as far as to say that it's top three!

All that said, my TT RS was just a little too small, my little boy is not so little, he's thirteen next month

So after a lot of searching, a test drive and some gentlemanly negotiation, I picked this up on Friday.

To say it's absolutely epic is an understatement. I wanted a top car, one that looked different, stood out but was also classy and most of all, in mint condition.

Point to point across twisty B roads the TT RS would beat it, yet in terms of a something that feels alive, needs focus but rewards skillful input the M4 is on another level.

I don't think I've ever fallen in love with a car as quickly as I have my M4 and that in itself says a lot.

Well done Yas Man. I had a TT RS also in 2011, one of the first S Tronics. They are a fabulous car, that in my mind were underestimated, although a little expensive when new. Agree with your sentiments regarding the two cars. The TT RS was so nimble because of its size, weight and 4wd. The M4 feels like its tearing strips out of the tarmac when its on boost, and in its stride, and as you say, needs a little concentration and respect to reward.
Im awaiting my 2nd M4 at the moment, after selling my Yas Blue car [terrible colour, , only joking]. Im sure you will have some great drives in your new car.

"Needs focus but rewards skillful input", well said. The naysayers need to grasp this concept. Or perhaps, they're just not skillful drivers.

Nice. My buddy has a TTRS. It's an awesome car but I just love the M4. I took one long blasting test drive in one and I was sold. Wifey was laughing at me because she saw my eyes light up with joy. Picking mine up next month BSM with silverstone. Love that SS. Enjoy!

If I'd posted with my normal number plate you'd have known who it was straight away.

That's it, with a car like this. I will admit even more jealousy. We are not talking any more!

Nice! I'll be ordering a M3 soon and love the silverstone interior. Any tips on keeping it clean?

It's a Milltek, British made and sounds awesome plus it's much lighter than the stock system.

As you know I've just bought myself an M4 which I'm really happy with, the paint is in great condition and other than a gentle polish, it looks great, the wheels needed a good polish but other than that it looks great . . . . . however, the interior was looking a little grubby, not because it had not been looked after but more due to the cleaning products that have been used on it.

Now, I have to be honest, I've never been a fan of light leather interiors, I like the idea, just not the work needed to keep them looking tip top at all times but when I saw the colour combo of the car, I just had to have it.

In order to ensure the interior of my car looked as good as the exterior, I jumped onto the Detailing World forum to find out what everyone recommended for leather cleaning and maintenance. My research revealed two really strong options, Dr. Leather and LTT - after reading a few guides and countless reviews, the LTT products sounded like what I was after, so I jumped on their site to place an order.

Well, what can I say, simply amazing service. I'm on the site working out what's best and the "Live Chat" box pops up as Judy asks me if I needed any help, after about 20 minutes of discussion and great advice, I bought their Foaming Cleaner, Protector and Maintenance kit.

The foaming cleaner is brilliant and so easy to use, squirt the foam out, work it in with the supplied sponge and then wipe it off with a dry microfibre to leave a really nice matte finish plus it cleans extremely well, getting any grime out of the white stitching which you can see in the close up picture below.

Once dried, I grabbed the Protector spray, which I have to say has the best vapouriser I've ever used, it covers lovely and I made sure I worked it into all of the nooks and crannies to ensure everything was evenly covered.

Whilst my car is not old, the interior really needed a proper detail and although I took these pictures before I'd hoovered it, the quality of the LTT products really shines through in the pictures. There is nothing I've used before that leaves your leather looking like the day the car was delivered with none of that horrible, greasy, glossiness that you often get with leather cleaning products.

Hope this helps
