JBL MS8 Amp gain questions

Hey guys I just got my ms8 installed and calibrated. Only problem is for the system to sound decent I have to have the gain set to -10db when most people recommend -20 to -25db.

I have the hifi stereo with bavsound speakers and oem subwoofers.

I really don't want to ruin this amp/processor by setting the gain too high.

Also I am running a 12ga ground (technic harness) with a separate 8ga power cable.

Your help is greatly appreciated

youll blow the speakers with the gain, not the amp.

Get a bigger ground cable though. 12 ga with 8ga power is too small.

MS-8 doesn't have a gain per se. What you have is volume control. You can go to -6dB (max undistorted volume) and leave it there. Then adjust system volume with head unit.
