Is the 228i exhaust still under development? If so, when will it be complete?

Garage List
1) no, but a 240 exhaust I would be
2) cat-back
3) satin black
4) quad exit
5) No exotic materials
6) doesn't matter to me
7) Moderately loud to very loud (incorporating a switch like the stock m240 has)

I know this thread was for 230s, but I think input for all questions is relevant to the development.

If you're in competition with AWE TUNING for a system, it's tortoise vs tortoise!

I think all of the aftermarket companies are having a hard time getting vehicles at the moment. There are few of them out right now and most of which aren't in their local area.

The exhaust shop i visit sells Magna Flow, What would be the difference between them doing a custom setup using Magna flow stuff versus an actual built system from you guys?

A custom exhaust definitely has its advantages for some owners, but by going with one of our catbacks, you will be getting a system with a lifetime warranty and perfect bolt-on fitment that even a novice do-it-yourselfer can install. All of our systems are flow tested in our R&D facility to ensure you are getting the best power gain possible, and extensively tested on the chassis for the ideal sound. This gives you a finely-tuned setup right out of the gate, and saves you the time/money of redoing it multiple times for the perfect sound, as is sometimes needed on a custom setup. Also, all of our systems for vehicles with stock active exhaust (valves) retain this functionality on the new mufflers, which is something that would be difficult to replicate on a custom system unless you keep the stock mufflers.

Okay great well i'll definitely be waiting then! Please release this asap, i've done custom and gotten abit to much drone when the silly 8speed is under load on highway/up hills etc.

Also for the 228i Setup will you guys be doing dual exit like a (235/335/435) models or single twin exit like the current (228 setup)

Usually our car exhausts mirror the same exit style as the factory, but doesn't mean we cant change it up. That's where the survey comes into play Right now we're strictly doing research, but we always put forth our best efforts to bring products to market as quickly as possible, and the same will go for the 230i system!

1) Would you be interested in a Magnaflow 228i exhaust system?

Yes

2) What style of system would you prefer?

Cat-Back, axle-back

3) If you could pick a tip finish, which of the following would you want?

Gloss Black, matte silver

4) If you could pick a tip exit style, what would you choose?

Dual tip/single side like stock

5) All MagnaFlow systems are stainless steel. Would you want exotic materials like titanium?

No

6) Would you be interested in adjustable exhaust tips?

No

7) When it comes to volume, how loud do you like your exhaust?

I'm not sure if you will be keeping the stock diameter tubing at 2.5" but a 3" system would be nice for the competition/race series if you decide to offer that.
