leaking wastegate shaft?

While digging into my D today, I noticed a spattering of exhaust particulate on the turbo oil return line. Looks like it's coming from the waste gate shaft.

Don't really want to rip it all apart if I don't need to. Anyone else had this issue and left it alone? Car runs fine.

I do not BUT I experienced your issue last year and my problem was a crack in the EGR cooler. Get it fixed asap so you don't make yourself sick or worse!

No problem, mine has some soot on it too. I was concerned till I found the SIB.
Here is a link to all the sib's for the diesels that the community has.

Do you have a photo of what exactly and where it cracks? Doesn't smell under the trunk? I can't catch the moment when it smells...
