Anyone need parts from down South?
Okay, here goes:
I need a few things from BMW, and I'd rather get them from Tischer, than pay 3 times more for them up here. So I'm going to place an order on the 28th of April, get it shipped to a friend in the States, and then drive down and pick it up. If anybody else needs something, let's hear it now. I could collect cash for the item, place one large order, and then square up with the final shipping charges when you pick up the item. Obviously, large body kit pieces and wheels / tires will probably not work out, as they are too large to carry back, although, if there is enough interest, I could possibly take a van. |

Bsavic, I refuse to deal with you until you put up a pic of this custom car-puter!
I was checking out your garage, and something that cool should be shared!!! |

The touch-up here is bad? What should I use than?? It's like $22 a bottle here. GEEZ... My Acura only costed me $7 for the bottle. This paint better have gold flakes in it to cost $22.

Good move! I bought the BMW roof rack from them for $140...sold locally for $275. Nice of you to offer to take orders from other members, but customs might be an issue as someone already noted. At the very least you'll have to pay taxes and will likely have to pay duties as well.

Plan is to just declare everything...
Guaranteed 13% tax, but then, that's no different from buying it local or getting it shipped. Unless its for business use, they usually don't bother with duty on small amounts. I'm assuming it's all small items - I don't play on getting $1000s worth of items for anyone. My logic is simply - if you want a $100 item from Tischer, it would not be worth it any way but this. |

Okay, this was not intended as a wish list :-)
I spoke to Tischer, and am going to place the order no later than Thursday night, preferralby sooner. Cash flow is a little tight, so I can't take an order on faith right now. I would need a deposit equivalent to the selling price on Tischer. Expect the total cost to be as high as 25% more (potential taxes + duty + shipping + exchange rate) For this reason, I don't know if the guys in Ottawa / Montreal would still want to participate. To re-ship to them will add more cost. I can collect the balance owing when I deliver the product to you. Perhaps we can have a mini meet? I am driving down to the States on the 25th, so any time after that works. Regarding the deposit, PM me with what you want, and how you want to pay for it. We can meet in person for cash, let me know a time / place to meet. I will be in Toronto today, Mississauga on Tuesday, Brampton on Wednesday, and Richmond Hill on Thursday. Otherwise, mail me a cheque today, or we can do paypal (they charge a 3% premium if I'm not mistaken). I realize that a deposit = a level of trust. I've been a forum member for a while, and have met some of you at several meets, so perhaps that will help. I'm not looking to make any cash on this... just a little community service! |

Hi MechUT, it's fair to obtain a cash deposit for my order. How much deposit ( % ) you want ???? I can meet up with you in Richmond Hill on Thursday.
Let me know. Andy |
