Most effective power modifications for 335d?
Hello, Im cuurently am saving up for some further modifications for my 2009 335d e90. Now with the holidays just around the corner i want to add more power to the 335d. i already have it straight piped with a tune but, i wanted to see what are the best modifications you can do to the 2009 335d e90 for the biggest increase in hp and torque. Does anyone have any suggestions.
Happy thanks giving btw May everybody be thankful for rolling coal |

Not at all. Just spray and go really. You would need to figure out your best settings as far as when it it comes on or not, based off of AFR's, driving habits, nozzle sizes and such.

From what I've heard, meth actually makes the car more reliable. It clears up the CBU that plagues our engines. Only negative effect is it may impede DPF regens since it lowers EGTs. So perhaps get a tool that can trigger regens manually. Good luck friend! Let me know how it goes. I'm looking at doing the same.

If you delete the DPF, you'll also need to delete the SCR, which requires a full exhaust and a tune. That will run you around $2300. From there just blocking the EGR cuts back on CBU considerably. Meth helps clean, and EGR makes it mostly a nonissue. I'd say just do an alphabet delete and never look back.

One can gut the SCR and not need to do a full exhaust replacement. Much cheaper option to let the guy focus funds on the tune, downpipe, and EGR delete. Do the exhaust change out down the road. We early guys took this in smaller "baby steps". That is unless you have unlimited budget and want the whole shabang.
Had I not wanted to do the custom spare under trunk mod, I would have went for the iaknown exhaust. I needed specific bends to clear the tire. |

Stock exhaust is perfectly acceptable once gutted. Weight savings would be the biggest advantage with new pipes. |

Just get the scr cut off , take it home gut it. Meanwhile the exhaust shop can delete your muffler as well. Best sound you can get without spending a ridiculous amount of money
