Dpf delete and remap Questions

Hello, Ive heard that doing a dpf delete and a remap on 335d significantly increases power. Ive been wanting to do it to my 2009 335d e90 but, i have no idea where to start. Can anyone help me out? thank you.

I Currently have mine straight piped with a tune by JR auto tuning

So you want help on a DPF and remap when you are already straight pipe and have a JR tune. I don't follow.

Im lucky enough to work at a car dealership that has a skilled mechanic who has a lot of bmw and diesel experience who had done the work on the car right after i purchased the car and shipped in the chip to JR auto tuning, But i only did the Catalytic converter deleted and muffler delete.

The cat converter is part of the dpf. If you have a JR tune and you are straight piped from turbo back, you have no DPF

Incorrect. The cat is technically the SCR which is after the dpf. There are many many threads relating to deletes. Please use the search feature.

Well, pretty sure I know how to use search function, thank you! Last time I checked the DOC is part of the DPF housing and is still considered a catalytic converter. DOCs contain precious metals which are used as catalysts to oxidize the hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide with oxygen to form Co2 and water.

The SCR while also a catalytic converter is used for the reduction of NOx, using urea to convert the NOx to nitrogen.

While I may have omitted mention of the SCR as a cat, I don't see any part of my post as being incorrect, but perhaps incomplete, since our cars come factory equipped with two catalytic converters.

It's not outside the realm of possibility he got a custom tune from JR coded to keep the DPF. Doesn't sound like a really great idea to me, but still not impossible.

Give me a couple days to find out exactly what was done to the car. Again i apologize for my lack of knowledge. until this car i had no previous experience with bmw and minimal knowledge when it comes to modifications and tunes but, i am slowly getting there.
