1/2 Mile speed

Anyone here taken their D to a 1/2 mile event?

If so - what was the trap speed?

I'll likely do 2 of these events next year, just curious what to expect.

What modifications do you have done to your car? I also plan on taking my car to a half mile event next year. I'm currently BPC stage 2+, full exhaust and EGR delete with a wagner IC. Going to add meth in a couple months and have the car tuned again, trying to get to 400whp and 600tq.

There is a thread on here of everyone's 1/4 mile times. I would search for that and see if anyone posted up anything for 1/2 mile.

I have the same mods as you, plus the Meth kit on a 500cc nozzle.

I am thinking about the stage III tune as soon as I can pull the DDE and drive over to Raleigh.

I have a set of drag radials to work on the launches in 1/8 and 1/4 - but trap speed is all that matters for the 1/2 events.

One will allow rolling starts - the other is from a dig.

first time I did 1/2 mile was with RENNtech flash and did 129.68. Then I went to another one with WAGNER IC and frankly cant remember what I did, it was over 2 yrs ago. My mechanic( I had broken hand w cast couldn't dare to drive the car that fast) drove the car and he was only STEPPING on it he did reach 150 mph at close to 3/4 mile plus. Wish I could give you more insight there's another 1/2 mile a race on Mar 2017 before I leave to Dominican Republic so I might do it
