Increased Battery Discharge warning after new battery

Wow BMW does not make this easy.

After replacing the battery and registering it with the Schwaben tool (at least I think it registered it right) last night, I was greeted this morning with an Increased Battery Discharge warning.

Any idea why this could be happening?

It was below freezing for the first time in Seattle last night.

Assuming the registration was completed and you didnt make a battery type/size change without registering that as well, you may have either damaged or partially connected the IBS.

Just went out and started the car and found that the warning was gone...

Perhaps it was just a cold morning... I also forgot to lock the car immediately after leaving last night. I waited a few hours before doing so.
