S'Flap question

Possibly a question that's already been answered on here already, but can you "delete" the swirl flaps without a tune if you leave the actuator connected? Or will that throw some kind of fault?

Thanks fellas

Not ignoring your question. No experience to offer for blanking flaps on a non tuned car. Since actuator would still be plugged into harness, ECU would still try to open and close per its programming. Not sure if you would
1) get a code or SES for this or
2) engine have a little more bog at low RPM

Prior to buying mine, i had read from two camps of people. Those that complained it was a little slower off the line and others who had no issues.

Personally, I couldn't tell a difference from before vs after blanks being installed. I later found out my ECU is tuned for flaps open all of the time.

In the end, we get real answer when we do it. Ask yourself the question "Why do I want to do this? What am I after?"
