New to me 335d
Hello all. Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I acquired a 2011 335d with 61k back in October of this year. This isn't my first BMW product as I have owned an E30 many years ago, and currently have a 2003 Mini Cooper in the stable. My other German marques that I have owned or own include a B5 Audi A4 Quattro, and a MKIV GTI that is a current project car for my son's first car.
I am never afraid to turn a wrench on any of my cars that we have owned. We love the Germans, and look forward to great service from this one as well. Peace to all this Christmas Season. |

We welcome you. Merry Christmas and it appears Santa came early for you. What state do you live in and is that an emission check state for diesels?

oh, btw. My tag says E93...total coincidence. Thought it was humorous after I realized it.

I will tear into it in a month or so to do the CBU whether it needs it or not. I know it hasn't been done, and the dealer has no record of the EGR and DDE update being done. So, I have a to do list. On the flip side, the car runs good without codes or issues at the moment, knock on wood.

Not sure what LCB4 means, but it is tan with walnut wood. I love the overall look of the car. The rear windows have privacy tint. The fronts are not as dark. It has the aux/usb port in the console, no BT unfortunately. However, I ordered the Carly adapter for BT so I am waiting on that to come from Germany.

That's the factory code for Beige Dakota Leather
You can check your VIN on bmwvin.com to see the options it's got. Surprised it doesn't have BT streaming, I thought most of the '11s had it.

Welcome to the group.
btw - I wish my '11 had BT streaming. Seems to be very poor misstep on BMW's part for this radio setup. |

I don't feel too badly that my '09 doesn't have it either then, lol. Retrofit doesn't seem like that big of a deal however.

Throwing on a combox appears to be really easy, and it isn't hard to find a used combox on the electronics forum. One of these days I'll get one. Seems like a rather easy retrofit. For now I'll just stick with my Tune2Air.
