Methanol injection upgrade

Has anyone added a second pump for their setup? If so what injector sizes and locations are you using. I currently have the largest cooling mist nozzle fitted at the bend before the throttle. Found a second pump for 85$

You probably want the larger nozzle lower in the charge pipe, but where you mentioned should still work.

I haven't used two pumps but if I did I would dedicate one for the bigger jet then another for lower rpm (fine mist small nozzle/nozzles).

You could possibly look into a bigger pump, or even a dual nozzle setup. Whitbread has some experience with mounting one nozzle pre-turbo and one post turbo with some pretty good results.

Aem kit is junk imho. The controller on mine failed twice and filled my engine with meth. Luckily it didn't blow. Another guy on here had the same thing happen and wasn't so lucky.
I run the Snow mpg max with a pro meth fuel cell, devils own 3/8 pump and stainless lines.
It's been really reliable. And actually kinda fun to install everything. All though, all the stuff was kinda expensive in hindsight.

I have a cooling mist tank/pump combo and cm14 nozzle. Also I purchased a torqbyte controller (which I haven't installed yet). Deciding if I want to have a secondary pump or have my controller run a second nozzle without a second pump. Not sure if the second pump is really needed but wanted to everyone's opinion.

Aquamist is by far the best commercially available kit. However, you get what you pay for and many people shop on price only. You don't need a second pump until you start spraying over 2000cc/min (which will have quenched a 3.0L anyway).

Does anybody have a working aquamist system on a 335d? Absolutety nobody has gotten back to me with a wiring diagram/ or even if my hfs4 will work . I love aquamist and installed 2 kits on previous cars ,but the best kit in the world is garbarge with out support..
Its disappointing because Richard@aquamist called me personally to help my tuner out ..

I guess I'll have to go another direction..

Have you looked into torqbyte? I just purchased the cmt5 I believe it's called. I have had a basic meth setup and will be installing it soon after taking my car in for some warranty work.

I do. I'm a dealer for AM, and there's pictures in my thread. I thought I sent you pictures of the wiring? If not I apologize and I will pull my cowling off on Monday and snap some pictures and make notes and post them in my thread.

At the time you initially contacted me I was beyond slammed in the shop and with the chaos of life it slipped my memory. All you had to do was casually remind me and I would've been happy to help.

Connectors locations are referenced with ECU installed in car, standing in front of the car looking down on the ECU and #1-5 starting from the left. Wire colors are denoted as main/tracer.

White plug harness from Aquamist ecu -
Green wire - Plug #5 on ECU, black. Wires are in twisted pairs, I used the brown/white and red/white twisted pair. Connect to the brown/white.

Blue wire - 1st plug on ECU, pin 34 in gray connector. Yellow/brown.

Yellow wire - 2nd plug, pin 55 in black connector. Black/blue.

Red wire - White plug in front of ECU that connector housing mounts to bracket that holds ECU. Pin 10 pale green/white.

I talked to wrecker335d about his AEM methanol kit and he is running a basic 12v switch to turn the methanol on/off , has anybody else installed a switch?

Yes that's how my setup was with a relay system so it wouldn't draw power when the car was off. My switch was in the little same tray in between the shifter and center console. Pretty hideen.
