Hey guys so I got the horrible news today that my 07 E92 335i needs a new engine, metal shavings in the engine and low compression I believe, the shop didn't go any further with the diagnosis because no sense of tearing it all the way down just to tell me I need a new motor. So I'm looking for a motor ASAP

I'm looking for a N54 motor with less then 100k on it for a decent price don't really need the turbos to be on the motor since I literally just installed brand new ecs turbo replacement kit on it. I have cash now willing to travel about 150 miles in any direction of Ohio where I am.

Also wondering if a N55 motor would work.

Let me know what you guys have if anything that would be great super salty right now considering I haven't even driven the car smh. thanks in advance

yea thats a little to much for me im really just trying to get a lower mile n54 and maybe do some inlets while ill have the motor out. From what my tech told me theres metal shavings in the oil and theres something internal that the motor is eating its self alive. He didn't want to keep working on the car putting in man hours then charge me just to tell me that the motors bad car still runs low compression i believe also but ill see tomorrow or friday.

and thanks but no thanks buddy i really appreciate the fast response , my 335 had 170k on it so I'm looking to stay under 100 if I'm ditching out any cash for this which i am.
