Selling my JB4 Connect Kit (V2) that I had purchased new and was using in conjunction with my iPhone. The component is basically in new condition (picture attached for reference) as its been connected and tucked away in my unused glove box. Will let go for $90 (free domestic shipping).

Pretty firm at $90 shipped as I am in no hurry to sell it. Honestly, this is a good deal considering that it is $140 new w/o shipping, has no less features/capabilities and if purchased new, and it has not been subjected to any wear and tear considering the nature of the component.

Except that it needs an external power source, whereas the v3 is powered by the jb4.

I assume the majority of people that have been running the JB4 for some time, have by now routed the JB4's USB cable through the firewall for easy access in order to log through a PC/Mac...if so, then the V2's setup is actually easier than the V3's. But as you mentioned, the V2 gets it's power externally, which on my car, was an easy USB plug already in the glovebox where the JB4 cable has already been routed to. Besides the power/plug difference, I'm pretty sure every "data output" available on the V3, is available on the V2.

If you would prefer not having the kit in your glovebox, by all means you should go ahead and purchase the V3 for $140...if this is not a concern to you, then the V2 can be had for $50+ less. In the end, it's just a matter of personal preference.
