Exclamation Limp/protection Mode ???

My 2017 M240i have 1.500miles. Yesterday i was doing some spirited driving in a curvy road (Sport+ and transmission in S mode). The car is stock.

Suddenly i completely lost power and boost. I floored the gas pedal and had absolutely no response. My friends initialy told me i'd blew out the turbo or the chargepipe so i stopped to check. Everything was ok.

Another friend have a M240i and had the same issue in sporty driving conditions.

What do you guys think about this ? Maybe the car entered into a limp/protection mode ?

I beat the shit out of my old M235i and never had this problem....

Shouldnt there be some sort of indicator or CEL on the dash if it were to enter limp mode?

Do you have an OBDII reader?

No CEL in the dash.

Yesterday i tried some rudimental solution. I disconnected the battery, "drained the electric circuit" activating the horn and waited 2 hours before connecting it again.

I haven't tried the car in Sport+ mode since yesterday. In Comfort mode and normal driving conditions it feels good.

I don't have the OBDII dongle but i'm gonna take the car to BMW next week.

That sucks

I cant recall if they include roadside assistance or not......if they do you may want to just call them and tell them to pick it up with a flat bed

Driving in limp mode is not really a safe option

Do you have a tune? Stock car does not go into limp mode unless something is wrong with the car (misfire, not enough fuel,etc..)

If you car is stock, take it to the dealership so they can check it

I'd say bad gas if you're stock.

Traction control is shutting you down? Even in Sport+ it can shut you down. I believe there in an extra step to totally dissable the traction control.
