Mmp Port Injection Install

I installed my MMP Pi the other day. The setup came to me well packed and of good quality. Everything went smoothly without any surprises. Yes, the clamps for the fuel line were not something I would trust but it was solved in about 30 seconds after I walked over to my parts draw and pulled out 2 of my own. It's funny that people have wasted the minutes of there life complaining about such a small over site? I saw them and decided in a half second that I would use my own, and then I continued laying out the parts to do install. As of right now it is put together and installed. I did some walnut blasting while I had things open. One thing I would recommend would be that as soon as the rail is put together, dab a little bit of gasket sealer on the Orin's and then put them in place. Leave it to setup while you remove the intake. By the time it's ready for install, the prints will be in there place and you will have no issues with any coming out of there positions. I'm doing my wiring today and then I will program and do a log.

How is the MMP kit working for you? I am looking at pulling the trigger for the PS2 and the PI soon?

Mmp

The port inj is worked nag well but I have had 2 gasket leaks even after being super critical on replacement. Your situation with going lean and starting rough sounds like it could be the same thing. Try and pressurize the system up to 25 psi and see if you here any leaks or see a pressure drop. You'll here it. Other then that the system works as it should so far.

Probably the bootleg pi injectors he sent you.

Multiple reports of knockoff injectors being sent in the kit & leaking immediately.

my mmp pi had 3 leaking injectors (few drops a min) caused rough warm starts. got 3 new ones shipped after i paid for postage and now its all good.

they are bosch "style" injectors, not bosch.

i also had a minor gasket boost leak so just added some high temp rtv gasket around the mmp gaskets that fixed that.

kit works well after you iron out any potential issues.

Bosch style- yet his video depicts actual Bosch...

Kit works well, after you fix all the crap.

And that is the problem with the platform.

Accept sub par quality, to save a few dollars.

What would be the part number for the bosch injector? Anyone else switch out the injectors to a different brand yet?

MMP will replace any defective injectors without a doubt.

He is also switching suppliers due to the issues that are being reported.

I asked this question. From what I understand they could be leaky causing long starts. I was told to check it by removing the manifold and turning the ignition on to get fuel pressure in the line and see if they leak

Testing

Yes, you need the fuel pump to preload. You can also just power a single injector if u think it is suspect.
