was looking to upgrade hifi system

read around quite a bit. From what i under stood the first step is adding an amp to the oem amp correct?i have a subwoofer in my trunk with technics pnp harness. i was about to get a chuchero / EV speaker box. but i came across jl audio 450/4 for $200 and i also found a 300/4 for 150$ was wondering if adding one of these amps is going to make a huge difference.

I have hifi system.

best upgrade for hifi is helix/bimmertech pp82dsp amp
it will also allow correctly to connect sub in trunk

Adding a sub to the Hi Fi system = a sub plus the hi fi system
It doesn't solve the weakness of the Hi Fi system it just adds
a sub to it . If you are a bass head an that's all you care about
it might be alright for you. If you care about anything above 50 hz
then you still can't turn it up and not have it sound like it already
does.
