BMW app, spotify and pandora automatically opening when car starts
i have an iphone 7 with the newest software update and idrive 6 lite
Everytime i start the car and touch my phone it will auto open the bmw connected app, spotify and pandora on my phone. It's kind of annoying. Anybody else having this happen on their iphone when it connects via bluetooth after starting the car? My friend with an f80, iphone 7 and idrive 6 lite has the same problem. It only started recently. I don't have apple carplay. He does. Happens to us both regardless. Not sure if it's limited to idrive 6lite or if anyone with idrive 5/4 has the same issue. I've seen this recently with my ip7. Starts the M-Laptimer app, Spotify and connected drive. Can be annoying but not the end of the world.

I have idrive 5 and it happens to me too. It is extremely annoying. I've noticed that it only happens if my phone is "awake" when I start the car.

It is due to the BMW connected app. It initiates all BMA compatible apps installed on the phone once connected.

Rebooting the iPhone seems to help this. I haven't noticed it since apple pushed there new IOS update a couple weeks ago.
