Best exhaust for a slightly more aggressive tone
I'm coming from a 350z, where almost all exausts sounded very tuner-y regardless of the fact that it's a V6. So, is there a recommended exhaust for the M240i that gives more of tone of aggression (like the M2) but doesn't sound like a tuner?

Check out the deleted both resonators thread by Schnell B58.
I haven't done this mod yet but it might be what you are after and should only cost $200-$300. There are some vids in that thread that give you an good idea what the sound is like. Exhaust sound is a very personal preference so I expect this thread could devolve quickly. :P Let us know what you decide. |

Personally I am all in favor of laying out big cash when there are noticeable performance gains to be had from upgrading an exhaust system. Based on what people and manufacturers are saying about the M240i there isn't much to gain by swapping exhaust*. If that is the case all we are talking about is changing the sound. If that can be done by removing the resonators for a few hundred bucks. Hell yeah. * I wouldn't doubt that it would increase performance with heavy mods like a bigger turbo though. |

shouldn't be an issue as our tips are adjustable and you can move them further towards the rear of the car in order to clear the diffuser No fitment issues have been reported

looking into this as well, what, if any are the advantages or disadvantages of going with either deleted resonaters, dinan mid pipes, or remus axle back? just want a slightly more aggressive tone, deeper. its a lease so i will be returning it at the end..any help would be appreciated.

How about adding a (catted) down-pipe to the otherwise stock exhaust .... would that give a nicer/deeper/aggressive tone too? Would think it would be similar to resonator delete but maybe it would be more docile during commute but wake up with full-throttle ...
