engine oil level too low
After taking the keys off my e90 sedan, this "engine oil level too low" sign always comes on and I went to my dealer for this but they say it doesn't need a oil change or need the oil topped off.
This sign on the computer never came on til a few weeks ago and I don't know why it keeps coming on. You guys perhaps know what's wrong? Last edited by tonee8519; 02-25-2006 at 04:19 PM.. |

Once I got the oil topped off the other time, the oil change sign that came on in the computer was gone. this time i can't figure out why the oil change sign always come up in the computer when it doesn't need an oil change or need the oil topped off. I guess i'll just bring it back to the dealer again. |

had the same problems
the same minimum oil level warning came on for me about twice and ive had my e90 for about 6 months. concered, i took it to the dealer and he said that a few of the e90's had a problem with a oil pressure sensor which was giving a faulty readout, so he took the car for about 3 hours and had that sensor replaced. im not sure if this is eactly whats happening in your car but the symptoms sound the same
