Anyone go from 228 (n20) to 230 (b48)? Thinking of going another 2 series
Has anyone gone from a 228 to a 230?
I currently have a 228xi with MPE and thinking of getting either a 240 6mt or a 230 6mt with track pack. I understand b48 motor in 230 has only a few horses and torque numbers over the n20, but those that have gone from n20 to a b48, any feedback?, besides the usual claims of less turbo lag and better top end in the new motor. I understand the b48 motor is really quite, more so than n20, and that most of all, it does not pop or crackle or burble like the n20. My current n20 with MPE is a fire cracker. Even if I fit another MPE on it, my understanding is that it does not pop/burble/crack like the n20 does. I'll also be going from a ZF8 to a 6 MT so I'll be losing shift bangs and overrun during upshifting as you need a sport auro (ZF8) to get them. Has anyone made the switch? Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks, Roman |

Not the same thing obvs but I have a F31 328 and had a 330 loaner the other day. Prefer my car since it's Stage 1 but was VERY impressed w the 330 vs 328 stock.
